Title: Technology Assessment for the digital transformation - from AI risks to scientific practices
Abstract:
Technology Assessment as a socio-epistemic practice serves to enhance reflections in order to shape science and technology advances and consider their societal impact. In this talk, we focus on digital transformations by presenting TA insights on societal AI risks. This will be widened to recent developments affecting the impact of generative AI on science focused on TA practices. Finally, the talk bridges with the post-growth perspectives by a critical assessment of the ongoing digital transformations while proposing and jointly discussing alternative pathways.
