Cristina Míguez

Cristina Míguez González works across the fields of biology, environmental education, equality and social participation. Her career combines a scientific background with a clear commitment to education: she is a biologist, has trained in Environmental Education and Sustainable Development Management, has specialised in Equality, and has completed a Master's degree in Neuroeducation.

For over ten years, she has been working to bring knowledge to a wide range of audiences. She began in 2016 at the University of Vigo's Environment Office, coordinating outreach and environmental education activities in schools across Galicia. She then moved into the private sector, where she designed and coordinated educational projects focused on equality.

Her experience also includes running a Leisure and Free Time School, where she has delivered training on the environment, gender equality and musical expression (music is also an important part of her life). At the same time, she has worked as a Spanish teacher for foreign nationals, a period that opened the door for her to discover other cultures, travel and learn from very diverse contexts.

She is now part of the Postgrowth Innovation Lab research group, where she coordinates the group's dissemination and transfer activities. Here, she carries out her work on citizen science, public participation and science communication, on projects such as PostgrowthS.A., CoBLUE, Plataforma ODS and T.I.A.S. What motivates her most is imagining, creating and shaping ideas that connect with people.
